Archived from groups: microsoft>public>vb>database>dao (more info?)

When I try to "print preview" a report based
on a table, I find myself faced with a "The
"SELECT" statement includes a reserved word
or argument name that is misspelled or
missing, or the punctuation is incorrect"
error, after which Access cancels the preview
and reverts to design mode.

Thinking thus could be due to a misspelled
field reference, I checked all the report's
text boxes, but they seemed to be correct ...

So could someone please tell me the usual
source(s) of this error and a possible fix or
fixes?

Russell

Try sending the actual code block where the error occurs,
and describe what each of the fields (and textboxes) represents.

It's very hard for any of the forum's denizens to give an informed answer
without this sort of info

BTW, is this still VBA in access 2000?

IF it is, then you'd probably get a more informed answer in a vba/access forum
instead of this Visual basic forum
