Post subject: DB2 error on AIX

i am working with db2 8.1 and when i log on as db2inst1 and issue the comand db2 for db2 prompt it gives me following error

DB21015E The Command Line Processor backend process request queue or input queue was not created within the timeout period.

db2 is running on Aix 5.3 and i feel it has to do something with path settings in db2profile.

Please guide me through this.

Thanks

Why are you thinking this? Have you observed other "oddities"?

Let's make sure you have all the supported levels first - please provide
me with the following information:

- output of "db2level"
- output of "oslevel -r"
- output of "oslevel -g"
- output of "instfix -i | grep ML"

Also - was a "db2start" successful?
