Post subject: distributed database
Archived from groups: comp>databases>ingres (more info?)

hi,

we have been on a single production db for long. now after the release
of ingres 2006 and good support from ingres, we decided to plunge
intobreaking the db and have a single ddb, where in the ldb will be
maintained by individual dba's and even the ddb will have a dba ( not
ingres account). we have been able to segregate the applications to
respective ldb's and tables identified for respective ldb's. we even
registered the tables of individual ldb's by respective dba in the
ddb. now even after having given the select permission to all the
tables by the respective dba's, the inter application when it is run
thru the ddb gives the error that, the tables (of other ldb) does not
exist or you do not have grant permissions.

Can anyone help me?
