Hi Everyone,
Just a quick note before we hop on the plane to fly to Australia, I
am looking foward to the warmer climate as even now in sunny
California it is getting cold. I grew up in Alaska and it really gets
cold there so one would think that I should like it. Well, I did but
over time things change and I can say that I like warm better. David
is travelling from Virgina and Bodo is traveling from Germany and it's
even colder there right now. I pickup Durwin in a few hours and we'll
fly together. It will be weird crossing the international date line
and losing the 1st of December, but we'll get two of same day when we
return home.
Not all the preparations are finished yet, typical of me, but we plan
to havre a great time. The Code Sprint is full, but we can still
squeeze some space for you, if you want to come to the conferences.
They are being held in Melbourne on the 5th of December and in Sydney
on the 10th of December. More information can be found here:

I want to thank everyone who helped prepare for this trip, you know
who are, and I can say that a lot of collective thought went into
preparing for these events. I know that not everyone can attend in
person but we will tape the sessions and barring any last minute
problems, plan to publish them out on the Ingres Communtity Wiki for
everyone to see. We are excited about the trip and can't wait to meet
everyone in Australia.
By the way, thanks for the tips on how to understand some of the
sayings, Marty. And, I 'll be sure to bring my "swimmers", Mick!
G'Day Mates,
-Joe
