I have a simple question. Is it possible to update a checkbox by using a
keyboard stroke rather than clicking with the mouse? How could I do this?

If the checkbox control has the focus, pressing the space bar will toggle
its state.

Tab to the Checkbox Control and press the space bar to toggle it on and off,
or true and false.

Because some people have difficulty using either mice or touchpads with
notebook computer, it is possible to update most (or perhaps, all) Access
controls from the keyboard. But sometimes, I agree, it is not easy to
deternine _how to do it_.

If the checkbox has focus, you can use the space bar to toggle the check
box.
