Hello!

I've set up an HA environment for a customer. That includes two IIS-servers,
with Network Load Balancing between them, and two SQL 2005 Standard with
mirroring and one SQL 2005 Express as witness.

For the webpages I read that I just have to add the parameter "Failover
Partner" in the connection string, like this:
"Data Source=A;Failover Partner=B;Initial Catalog=AdventureWorks;Integrated
Security=True;"

But I also want ODBC Logging for the IIS. This requires a System DSN
(according to instructions I found on the Internet). Is there a way to
configure System DSN's to work in a mirrored SQL environment? Or is there
another workaround to get ODBC Logging to work in a mirrored SQL
environment.

Thanks in advance
/ Bengt-Erik Eliasson

You need to install SQL Native Client on your IIS server. When you create
the System DSN, select the SQL Native client and during the configuration
after you specify the Server name, Authentication type, when specify the
default db, you can add the mirror server name there.
