Post subject: Search CLOB field
Archived from groups: comp>databases (more info?)

Hi All,

I need some help regarding CLOB datatype in oracle.

My oracle CLOB field looks like:

#inderpal.info
#Thu Jun 16 18:50:14 GMT+05:30 2005
search_fax=false
encid=All
searchtext_phys=a
hidsave=
physid=0
consid=9
refresh=save
letter.provid=1
faxnumgeneric=
_search.fax.number=
usermenu=0
section=Charge Capture
comments=Dear Sir/Madam,\r\nPlease find attached the required
information\r\nSincerely,
addreseename=
letter.status=ACTIVE
fax_doc=false
user.loginid=1
letter.id=6
section_layerText=Charge Capture%
_search.fax.desc=
savedquery=
destination=Browser
search_method=
phys_layerText=1|Aditya Kumar%abc%
format=html
letter.consid=9
template=3
user=1

My CLOB field stores value in key=value pair.

Now, I need to search key like 'template' from this field. I tried to
do so many things but couldn't find anything. or is there any other way
to find the value of template from this CLOB field.

and can we use CLOB field in where clause?

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Cheers
Inderpal
