When in SQL Server Management Studio, I can open Log file viewer to see
the SQL Server Errorlog, SQL Agent Log, etc. This applies to the 2005,
2008 or 2008 R2 versions.

I know there is the Filter option so that I can limit the entries I see
to something in particular. Is there a way to Filter OUT entries? An
example of what I mean would be that I want to see everything in the
Errorlog EXCEPT all the Backup entries. Can I do that?

I've looked in BOL and done web searches but haven't been able to find
anything useful that deals with the Filter option.

Thank you,
Toni

I am not aware of any such option, however, there is another possible
solution:

Oh, how nice! Thank you for the link. I'll test that out on a test
system and see how we like it.
