I have a relationship that work when a file is hosted by a client.
However when its hosted by the server I get nothing? And idea I made
sure that indexing was on for all fields all the files are in 9.0.

Thanks

Hi,

The question would be where that relationship links to.

If that is an external file, you need to make sure that the external file can be reached by the main file when it is hosted from the FileMaker Server...

Go check the File References. If the file itself is listed with a path,
edit it to just say file://filename.fp7 (or whatever the correct syntax
is). If it is present in the file reference list with a path that
includes your hard drive and subfolder names, it will mess up when
hosted.

Hi Rob,

Is any of the key fields involved a global variable?

The behavior global fields in a hosted/server environment can be trouble...

Thanks,

I only have one other outside file linked to it and it has nothing to
do with it.

For now I have found a work around, by going to a layout first then
the main. I want to do a permnant fixed but this will work for now.
