Post subject: MS SQL desktop engine setup problem

when I try to setup MS SQL server desktop engine I receive this error:
"setup failed to

configure the server. Refer to the server error logs and setup error logs
for more

information"

this is the error log:

Are you trying to setup the msde separately, using setup.exe or is this the
msde that comes with vs.net? If you are running setup.exe manually, you
might want to consider enabling verbose logging ( /L*v <filename with
complete path> ) to get a more detailed output of the install and where
exactly it failed.

Alireza,

You call the setup.exe from command prompt, and use the /L*v <output file>
syntax.
