As SAP has it own administration tools, and tries you to keep away from
the database as much as possible, you'd better ask in a SAP forum.

I work with SAP and they still let you use other tools. I do a lot of my SAP DB management from the oracle command line. About the only thing you have to be aware of is adding a datafile should be done through the tools cause the tools update the internal SAP tables.
