Post subject: BI process/workflow modeling
Archived from groups: comp>databases>olap (more info?)

Standard approaches to data modeling for business intelligence are well
established. There are a variety of dimensional modeling styles out there
as well as modeling practices for operational BI.

But what about BI process/workflow modeling, that is, going beyond routine
stuff like mapping sources to databases with ETL tools? Various tools
syndicate reports, have alerters, and have workflow capabilities such as
routing. How do YOU go about modeling this aspect of your BI
implementation? I'd like to hear from BI users & developers for an article
I'm researching on the topic.

Thanks,
